Letter	Dear Governor, I am deeply concerned by the threat of global warming. Scientists are already warning that glaciers are melting twice as fast as initially predicted. It is critical that the U.S. does everything it can to stop global warming. Instead, nationwide the coal industry is proposing to build more than 130 brand new coal-fired power plants. This would be a terrible mistake. As governor, I urge you to pass a moratorium on building any new coal plants until we have maximized the renewable energy and energy efficiency potential of our state. Please act immediately to prevent the construction of new coal plants. Sincerely,
