What's Up with Keystone?

Just when you though it was dead - the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline is back. Like an evil necro-mancer intent on destroying us all, Big Oil has teamed up with Republicans in Congress to push a bill that would allow the Senate to resurrect the project.

So Environmental Action is teaming up with the rest of the movement for a united 24 hour push to send over 500,000 messages to the Senate by Tuesday at noon. You can get in on the action by clicking here.

But at 6:54pm ET on Monday night, just under seven hours into a 24-hour petition drive, our movement smashed through our goal of sending the Senate over 500,000 messages opposing the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline.

The signature drive will continue until 12:00pm tomorrow. At 3:00 pm, environmental groups will deliver boxes containing the 500,000 plus signatures directly to Sens. Harry Reid (D-NV) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

It's clear where America stands: we're opposed to Big Oil and they're reckless plan to build the Keystone XL pipeline. The only question left is where our Senators stand. Sign now or tell more friends about our work to make sure they get the message.
