I'm not a naive guy, per se, and frankly had thought I'd seen quite a bit in my life. That is until the media began reporting on the new plan BP has cooked up for stopping the horrific spill in the Gulf. Golf balls, old tires, and trash. 

I'm not even joking. 

Over the last month, BP has tried every possible cockamamie plan that's come down the pike. They're even recycling failed ideas with their third dome attempt. 

The federal government has even set up an area on their crisis website for people to suggest ways to solve the problem. Just saying, maybe I don't want Joe the Plumber to figure out the problem, and would rather have a) those responsible clean it up, or in lieu of that, b) some federal agency take care of it. 

Instead we're relying on golf balls and webforms. 

Perhaps it's time we stop offshore drilling.
