Like most people in my generation, I love Google. I'm sure there are things to dislike about them, but frankly, I don't care. I think Google's great. 

Today, Google maps released an update to their application that will give people the option of mapping out a BIKE route. Already on Google maps you can plan your trip via walking or public transit (in addition to the 'car' option), but this is just a wonderful step forward in forwarding alternative transit options. 

I'm working to figure out if the next step we can get Google to take would be to add a little 'CO2' emissions log, so that as people plan their trips wherever, they can be educated about the real environmental costs of transit. Stay tuned!
