Ever since I was a kid I've loved the New Yorker. Just a great magazine. I realize this paints me a little as liberal east coaster, but as a liberal guy from upstate NY, I'm pretty ok with that label. 

That being said, there's a pretty great article this week that's getting some good recognition. 'Covert Operations' covers the political power that the Koch brothers have and their efforts - spending millions upon millions of dollars - to control the political system. 

The article is quite good, and goes into detail of the brothers' funding of the Tea Party and anti-environmental movements, in addition to their work funding junk science to refute global warming. 

Basically, these fellas are no good, as far as the environment's concerned. They also own a company that owns and produces many of the products you may use in your home, so might be worth checking it out, and doing a little personal divestment.
