It was a great day in Miami - sunny and 80 degrees - when we met up with a dozen local activists from 350.org and the Sierra Club as part of an international day of action to help the world "connect the dots" between extreme weather events and global warming.
Global warming is already impacting our weather - from more severe storms to warmer winters and vanishing species. If we don't act soon, costal communities will face some of the biggest impacts. If we don't take action soon, scientists warn that Miami Beach - with it's iconic neon-lit hotels and beautiful beach front - could be inundated with over 10 feet of water as rising seas and severe storm surges combine to create bigger floods than ever.
